Putting purpose into action is not without its challenges. In this webinar Associate Professor Jody Evans was joined by Deputy Dean Caron Beaton-Wells and Professor of Strategy Geoff Martin to share their reflections on how Melbourne Business School has developed its purpose in these turbulent times. We will explore how Caron has drawn on her personal purpose and values, the challenges of balancing the cognitive and emotional load and the critical role of building trust when turning purpose into action.

Caron Beaton-Wells
DEPUTY DEAN, MELBOURNE BUSINESS SCHOOL
Caron Beaton-Wells was appointed Deputy Dean of the Melbourne Business School in 2020. She was previously a Professor in Competition Law at the Melbourne Law School (2002-2020), where she held the positions as Associate Dean (Melbourne Law Masters) and Associate Dean (Undergraduate).
Geoff Martin
PROFESSOR OF STRATEGY
Geoff worked at the highest levels of international finance before becoming an academic focusing on risk-taking by executives. He has received several research excellence awards from the University of Melbourne.
