“What does power do to people?” “How do we gain influence with others?” “Are people respected more for showing their might, or for collaborating and building bridges?”

We invite you to consider these questions at the Power, Status, and Influence Network Conference being held in for the first time in Australia. Join us for an exclusive look into one of the world most influential academic conferences having previously been held at Stanford, Northwestern, NYU, London Business School, and UC-San Diego.

Founded in 2008 the PSI (Power, Status & Influence) Network is an, invitation-only consortium of the world’s most renowned academics, thought leaders, and practitioners in the field of social hierarchy. Taking place over 2 and a half days, including an optional half-day Teaching Pre-conference on Saturday 21 March and 2-day academic program starting on Sunday 22 March, this exciting event will introduce the PSI Network’s stellar academic membership to the most vibrant and cultured city in the region to foster stimulating discussions and new opportunities for collaboration.

On Monday 23 March we are excited to be opening the program to industry practitioners for the first time at a PSI Network Conference. This collaborative program is open to members of Melbourne's business community, where we invite you to join us for an invitation-only lunch and take part in various panel discussions with renowned academics and practitioners on important topics affecting business today:

  • Navigating the post-#metoo movement
  • From boardrooms to situation rooms: Safeguarding against inequality & destructive power
  • “Ignorance is bliss”: Governance failures in ethical oversight
  • Diversity & effectiveness: Trade-offs or amplifiers?

Don’t miss out on this exclusive opportunity to gain unprecedented access to the world’s most respected scholars in a concise half-day program, here in Melbourne.
